Things in first grade are off to a great start!
We have been learning to recognize and spell each other’s names, reading poetry, creating new “word family” words, and rhyming. We have started writing drafts of our own books about our favorite pets. We have also been reading lots of great books!
We have explored counting with our class number line, number grid, pennies, dice, and using tally marks. We plan on visiting the computer lab next week to continue our study of butterflies.
